The Delaware Lacrosse Officials Association (DLOA) employs a comprehensive process to select officials for the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) Boys Lacrosse Tournament. This process prioritizes experienced and skilled officials who demonstrate strong judgment, mechanics, game management, and leadership abilities.
A dedicated Playoff Selection Committee is responsible for evaluating and selecting officials for the DIAA Boys Lacrosse Tournament. The committee consists of senior officials and leadership members within the DLOA.
The Assignor plays a crucial role in the selection process. They rate officials throughout the regular season based on their performance, mechanics, and game management. These ratings, along with committee input, are used to make final selections for the tournament.
